Montclus, France: A gay guesthouse in the south of France
Eight acres in the south of France, a little bit of gay bliss set among the olive trees and the Provençal herbs.
It's The Lotus Tree, set on tranquil, private grounds overlooking the 13th century village of Montclus. You're in Languedoc, bordering Provence, and you're in good hands. The two owners, James and Lance (and their lab, Frankie), originally from the UK, are welcoming to all, though the bed and breakfast is designed to be a relaxing haven for gay men. (If you're looking for high-octane, this may not be the place for you.)
From there, you can visit Avignon, Nîmes, go hot-air ballooning, ride horses, explore the countryside, or go as far as the Lotus Tree's pool. It's all very chill, and friendly, and restorative.
