Las Vegas, NV: Here comes the ride
Vows are exchanged, horns are honked, and another happy couple drives off down the Strip.
The world's first drive-thru chapel was the brainchild of Charolette Richards, at whose venerable Little White Wedding Chapel more than 800,000 couples—including Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney (twice) and Britney Spears—have pledged their troth since the Chapel opened for business in 1951.
The Tunnel of Love Drive-Thru came 40 years later, and started out as a feature for the disabled, so they could get hitched without leaving their car.
Now the window is staffed 24 hours a day by one of the Chapel's 10 ministers (and broadcasts live via webcam, so your nearest and dearest can join in your very special 12-or-so minutes).
For a small fee, they'll even swap your wheels for a pink Cadillac and have Elvis man the window.
